Trooper Inez Corbley

On August 8,2009 Inez passed after complications from open heart surgery. She joined GWRRA with her husband Frank in 2000 and was very active with F Troop attending many rallies & Wing Dings as an associate member. Inez was always ready to lend a hand for set up or clean up after an F Troop event. She is probably best known for her art work. Many of the signs that appeared at the NJ Beach Party Rallies & early Mt Olive Rallies were done by Inez, as well as the designs on the T Shirts for a number of those rallies.

She is survived by her daughters, Pat & Pete Lucero & Michele& Kenneth Miele and 2 grandchildren. She & Frank are probably toasting F Troop with a “Pool Juice” as you read this. Below is a favorite poem of hers that she would refer to in times like this:

The Rose Beyond the Wall
Near a shady wall a rose once grew,
Budded and blossomed in God's free light,
Watered and fed by the morning dew,
Shedding it's sweetness day and night.

As it grew and blossomed fair and tall,
Slowly rising to loftier height,
It came to a crevice in the wall
Through which there shone a beam of light.

Onward it crept with added strength
With never a thought of fear or pride,
It followed the light through the crevice's length
And unfolded itself on the other side.

The light, the dew, the broadening view
Were found the same as they were before,
And it lost itself in beauties new,
Breathing it's fragrance more and more.

Shall claim of death cause us to grieve
And make our courage faint and fall?
Nay! Let us faith and hope receive--
The rose still grows beyond the wall,
Scattering fragrance far and wide
Just as it did in days of yore,
Just as it did on the other side,
Just as it will forevermore.
